4-H is a voluntary, educational program for youth ages 5-18 (as of January 1). In order to enroll in 4-H, families must create an online account in 4-HOnline2.0 and then enroll each youth member who plans to be involved in 4-H. Adults who want to volunteer in 4-H must also enroll in 4-HOnline2.0. 4-H runs on a calendar year from January-December annually. Each year, 4-H members and volunteers have to re-enroll in 4-HOnline2.0 to remain active in 4-H.
For 2021, 4-HOnline2.0 will not be open until January 18 or after. This system will be a new, upgraded system in 2021.
To get started, fill out an enrollment form in 4-HOnline2.0. Then join a 4-H club or register as a Rowan County 4-H At-Large member, pick a project or sign up for an event. You can also stop by N.C. Cooperative Extension, Rowan County Center and talk with Laura Allen, 4-H Youth Development Agent, about your interests!
4-H enrollment in North Carolina is FREE! Some clubs may charge a small fee for supplies or for certain events. Similarly, certain countywide, district, state or national programs and experiences may involve a fee.
