Rowan County Local Food Program
The Rowan County Local Food Program is dedicated to strengthening our local food system by supporting farmers, gardeners, food entrepreneurs, and consumers. We provide educational programs, technical assistance, and networking opportunities that help local producers succeed while connecting our community with fresh, locally grown food.
Whether you're starting a farm, expanding your operation, shopping at a farmers market, or looking to source local products, we're here to provide the resources and support you need. Through partnerships with local organizations, farmers markets, and community programs, we work to increase access to local food, promote agricultural sustainability, and foster a vibrant local economy.
Our program supports:
- New and beginning farmers
- Farmers markets and direct-to-consumer sales
- Local food promotion and education
- Farm business resources
- Community partnerships that improve access to fresh, local food
Together, we're growing a stronger, healthier Rowan County, one local meal at a time!
