As agriculture continues to evolve, more farmers are turning to plasticulture — the use of plastic materials in crop production — to improve yields, conserve water, and reduce weed pressure. Whether you're a seasoned grower or just getting started, learning how to use this innovative method could be a game-changer for your farm.
On Friday, May 16th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the community is invited to a Plastic Laying Class at the Piedmont Research Station, where participants will get hands-on experience and expert instruction on laying plastic mulch for crop production. This is workshop will be hands-on and outdoors around heavy equipment, so please wear closed toed shoes.
