The future of webinars? Okay, now I know that sounds a little dramatic…

The truth is, I have been thinking about this lately as COVID waxes and wanes. I had never conducted a webinar before March 2020, but once the pandemic hit and most things were shut down, Extension Agents and other educators turned to alternative tools to educate and conduct outreach. Of course webinars existed pre-COVID, but for most of us, it was a new way to conduct programming when we could not meet in person. I have since conducted and attended dozens of webinars over the past two years.

Hopefully soon things will start returning to normal and it will become safer to meet indoors in big groups for in-person workshops. Extension will never abandon the in-person workshop format. But I have to say that my views on webinars over the past couple of years have evolved as I have come to see the many benefits they offer. I know based on client feedback I will continue to offer webinars post-COVID, but I am trying to figure out exactly how they will fit into future programming.

To help me in this thought process, I have created an online survey to solicit feedback from the public on the webinar format. Whether you love them or hate them, I would love to hear from you! I want to hear from the general public, whether you have attended zero webinars or 20 webinars.

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. Thank you in advance for your time!
