NC State Extension’s Food Safety Portal is linked below. This website has the most current information our food safety specialists have compiled up until that point. They are working to update it daily with more and/or edited information. They are currently translating the Home and Community images and PDFs into Spanish and will continue to work through all the sheets posted, including those for Grocery Stores and Food Service Establishments. Be sure to check back daily for updates. Files have dates posted on the bottom, so you can monitor how recently it was updated.

Grocery Store and Food Service Establishments – Check the portal for important resources related to your specific environments. Infosheets were created by NC State Extension food safety specialists, along with CDC recommendations of: Receiving & Food Packaging; Cleaning & Disinfection; and General Questions & Employee Health.

Home and Community Members – Check the portal for infosheets related to the general population. You may recognize some of the material from our N.C. Cooperative Extension of Hyde County – Family & Consumer Sciences Facebook page. However, there are additional images and infosheets posted here. These are great visuals to remind ourselves how to completely wash our hands, a tested recipe for homemade hand sanitizer from the WHO, how to prepare for an outbreak in your community, healthy habits, and more!
